Final edits..

Here our some of our final edits after post production...

Her our some of our final edits what heather has edited. I am really pleased with the outcome and i feel our idea to add a striped background has worked really well and give the pictures the final edge what we wanted.

Here we have edited the picture to show the different characters of the theme together. we have shown the the pretty and dark side together. I am really happy with this image.

After practising our ideas we go to the media factory to the studio to start the shoot however the model wasnt comftable walking from brunel court to the media factory in her doll make up so we had to do it when we got to the studio again. whilst i was doing the models make up clare and heather were having a few problems setting up the equipment and getting the right lighting. So we got assistance from darren who helped us choose the right settings for the lighting.

Lighting tests and ideas..

This is the studio we rented for our shoot.
Its not the best studion and if im honest the lighting was pretty crap!! which is going to make our shoot alot harder as we want to achieve well lit photos.


Claire and heather rented the studio on tuesday morning to test out lighting and different shots.
For our shoot we are planning on using just a plain white background and maybe changing the background in post production using photoshop. Here are how the lighting tests went..

Im am satisfied with the quality of the light however i do feel it could be alot brighter.

Heather and claire also did test shots on the floor as we want to do some of the poses with the model on the floor heres how it went..

They used a beauty dish pointing down on the subject on the floor to create a brighter outcome.
Darren pointed out that there was a bit of a spill from the lights on the background (left side), due to where claire had stood. So for the shoot we’ll have to make sure we direct the model correctly and have her stood f away from the background. so that the background and lighting is spot on, this means it will be easier when it comes to post production.

To create both the looks i bought these black and white facepaints.

They cost me 4.99 each so i hope they are worth it and work!!!

Day Of The Shoot.....

We have booked the studio for friday afternoon as its the only time we can get it :( not the best time slot as it doesn't give us alot of time to edit pictures etc but you have to deal with what you have got i suppose!!

So we meet at brunel court and discuss make up and hair ideas at 11am.
here are examples of the sort of look we want to go for

For look 1 we are going for a doll like theme. our model already has very pale skin however we are going to paint her skin white with very rosy cheeks. we also want to paint a love heart on the models lip with red lip stick.

For look 2 the mime look we want to use a white face again however use black paint on the eys and lips to show the other side of the circus life which gives a dark feel .

Ideas And Concepts For Shoot...

As a group we have decided to do a photoshoot based on a circus / fairytale theme. We have found a model who is suitable for our theme she has doll like features with long red hair .. Perfect for doll fairytale inspired shoot.

Sourcing
As i am the styling side of the shoot i am going to source the items and props for the shoot.

For the fairytale side we have decided to go for a white puffed out style skirt with a leotard. Luckily for us ash has managed to get hold of an unwanted wedding dress!! We are goin to customise the dress so it is suitable for whatr we want this could take time!!
